Gorilla Capital Fund III has made its 57th investment in Mestamaster. Gorilla is a Finnish Venture Capital firm that invests in camels — capital-efficient, tech-enabled startups solving real problems with customer focus and a realistic path to growth. Gorilla backs founders who are ambitious yet humble and resilient, and companies that grow step-by-step, take funding tied to milestones, and avoid premature scaling.

Mestamaster’s solution is based on Takt Time, a process originally created in the manufacturing industry. Takt construction means that the order and pace of work tasks is standardised and predefined — and therefore execution becomes predictable.
The global construction industry is valued at 11 trillion USD annually, and the war in Ukraine and high inflation has made construction considerably more expensive. Bringing construction up to speed with modern and data-driven processes will help cut construction costs and ultimately costs paid by the communities and the people in them.
Founder’s comment
“Mestamaster creates a process and a tool for construction to move work groups in sync from one working area to the next. With our planning and control tools, the work teams can move closer to each other and achieve better resource efficiency. In projects with highly repetitive elements, such as hotels, the total duration of construction can be reduced by up to 40% without additional resources”, according to Mestamaster founder Mikko Hell.
“With this investment, Mestamaster can focus on international sales and help deliver Finnish construction know-how to projects outside our borders.”
